An eco-adventure lodge that has something for everyone! The remote waterfront Peterson Bay Lodge and Oyster Camp surrounded by Kachemak Bay State Park is a destination for the adventureous traveler. The lodge is just 5 scenic miles across Kachemak Bay from Homer and is only accessible by boat or float plane. Stay in our cozy heated and fully bedded, two-room, private waterfront eco-cabins.

The lodge offers a variety of activities including; eco-tours, sea kayaking, hiking and fishing adventure packages for overnight travelers. Educational oyster farm tours are one of our specialties as we grow and serve the “world class” Kachemak Bay Oysters! If you are looking for an unforgettable vacation in Alaska in a pristine natural setting then you have found the right place!

About your hosts
Your hosts Gary, Debbie and their son Tux Seims are the family owners and operators of Peterson Bay Lodge and Oyster Camp. As long time Alaskan residents their unique lifestyle has developed from a combination of utilizing Alaska’s diverse resources and their love of nature. Their life centers on the sea from their work to play, whether its fishing, oyster farming or kayaking and enjoying the wildlife and beauty that surrounds them. Gary, raised on the Kenai Peninsula is a licensed captain and a professionally trained chef and has spent a lifetime harvesting and creating spectacular meals from the sea. Debbie is without a doubt the catalyst at the lodge. She has the unique ability and energy to create a special experience for each individual guest. And Tux is an artist with a passion for nature and wildlife. The lodge is a place where they share their passion for Alaska, nature and the great outdoors with visitors from all around the world.

The Seims family wants to assure each and every guest that they will do everything in their power to provide a safe, memorable and satisfying experience while at Peterson Bay Lodge & Oyster Camp.

Definition of an oyster camp: An environmentally sound mariculture farm where oysters and blue mussels grow in glacier pure, pristine, clean waters of Kachemak Bay. An interesting and educational experience for visitors of all ages!
